Douglas Mearkle Joins TD Bank as SVP, Head of U.S. Sales in TD Merchant Services

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (April 28, 2015) – TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, has named Douglas G. Mearkle as Senior Vice President, Head of U.S. Sales in TD Merchant Services.

Based in Southington, Conn., Mearkle is responsible for the leadership and direction of TD’s U.S. Merchant Services sales organization, and for overall sales force management to complement the bank’s small business and commercial suite of products. TD Merchant Services provides a range of customized solutions for cashless payments, including credit and debit card processing, e-commerce, mobile payments and gift and loyalty card programs.

Mearkle has 16 years of financial services experience. Prior to joining TD Bank, he served at SVP of Alternative Sales Channels and Customer Experience at PNC Merchant Services.

Mearkle is a resident and native of the Plantsville neighborhood in Southington, Conn.
